I am Sandra Harlow, the owner of Harlow's Sewing Studio. I was influenced by my mom and grandmother who sewed for themselves as well as for churches, neighbors, relatives, and businesses for decades. Although they didn't have any formal training, they were very knowledgeable of their craft. I would love to influence kids to explore th
I am Sandra Harlow, the owner of Harlow's Sewing Studio. I was influenced by my mom and grandmother who sewed for themselves as well as for churches, neighbors, relatives, and businesses for decades. Although they didn't have any formal training, they were very knowledgeable of their craft. I would love to influence kids to explore their creativity just as I was influenced by my mom and grandmom.
After I retired as an engineer, I decided to enter the educational field part- time and continue my love for sewing and creating. I've been sewing and creating since around the age of 5. I am a licensed Kids Can Program seamstress and designer. I'm also an experienced seamstress and creative, who loves to share my knowledgeable skills and expertise with others.

The Beginner Level 1 workshops will be in a small classroom setting of 4 students in order to preserve the quality of individual experiences. The Kids Can Sew Curriculum will be used for all Beginning Level 1 classes. The program is recognized as the #1 sewing program for kids and teens learning to sew. The program consists of projects
The Beginner Level 1 workshops will be in a small classroom setting of 4 students in order to preserve the quality of individual experiences. The Kids Can Sew Curriculum will be used for all Beginning Level 1 classes. The program is recognized as the #1 sewing program for kids and teens learning to sew. The program consists of projects focusing on learning to master basic fundamental sewing skills.
Summer Sessions are now offered. During this session kids will learn sewing machine basics, tools and terminology, hand-sewing techniques and many other skills. Some of the projects will include pillows, pouches and the making of a simple garment.
The Specialty classes are also offered. This will be a fun and creative class every child will enjoy. Beginner Level 1 Sewing Session is recommended, but not required. Check out the different specialty classes offered below.

Classes are offered during the morning, afternoon and evening. There will be a maximum group of 4 students per session.
- At Harlow's Sewing Studio, we aim to provide a fun and educational environment for children age 8 -16. Our goal is to inspire creativity and confidence in young sewist; helping them to develop essential skills they can use throughout their lifetime. Let's Make and Design a Bag - This is one of our most popular sessions for kids. Kids will be excited to create, sew and design their own bag. This will be a 4 session class designed just for kids. The 3 sessions will be offered once a week for 3 weeks. Limit 4 students per session. The Beginner Level 1 session is highly recommended before taking this session. All supplies will be provided for each student.
